EARLY INSTALLATIONS 1992 - 1997 < back Untitled, 1997 (detail)      installation   I   plastic bag, water, wood, dough, iron, glass   I    variable dimensions 13 / 14 The unique elements placed/constructed on various points of the exhibition space form a coherent assemblage in the installation. An organic form made of transparent plastic bags filled with water and placed on the ground is illuminated with a strong light from the ceiling. A water-level indicator hangs on the column next to it. A white ladder hanging from the ceiling is also a part of it; one of the ladder's steps is covered by rolled-out pastry. At the foot of several columns in the hall, small objects assembled of polished car engine parts evoking animals stand on wooden plinths. Exhibited: 1997 at the exhibition of Akademie Schloss Solitude. The object forming a system of venation, placed on the floor, was reproduced and laid on rails, and was on view in 2001 at the Musée de la Minne in St. Étienne (F).
